Originally from Swansea,I left Wales for ten years to study - and to teach - English Literature at the universities of Warwick, Cambridge and Oxford. I hold a DPhil. from Oxford: Romanticism,poetry and art.

A keen walker, I mainly take photographs of nature,animals and landscape. My images, like my academic research, tend to focus upon the concept of the sublime: that which is darkly beautiful.
